Our Firm

Bailhache Law is owned and run by the Bailhache family. The Bailhache name has been well known in Taunton and surrounding areas over the past forty years for providing no nonsense commercial advice and assistance and also a hard hitting approach to litigation. We offer a rounded service for all your property and business needs including when matters become disputed.

Edmund

Edmund is a qualified barrister (1977 call) who subsequently became a lawyer and planning adviser and then qualified as a solicitor (admitted to the Roll in 1991). Edmund has been in practice for 40 years and still acts for clients who have stayed with him over that period of time, as well as their children and grandchildren.

Edmund has run his own business for most of his legal career and Bailhache Law is the latest incarnation of his practice in which he is joined by family members to provide a traditional high street service.

Laura

Laura followed her father’s footsteps into the law and trained under him at Edmund’s practice in central Taunton. On graduating from the University of the West of England law faculty in 2006, Laura initially developed her litigation experience in a large Bristol firm, then joined her father in Taunton to train and qualify in property and commercial work (admitted to the Roll in 2010) before returning to litigation in another large Bristol practice.

Laura then branched out as a self-employed conveyancing locum visiting a number of firms across the South West and trained as a mediator before returning to her fathers’ practice to take on head of department responsibilities. Laura now steps into a business-managerial role, spearheading this new family enterprise.
